Arvada has a new brunch spot to set its alarm clock for.Snooze, an A.M. Eatery is opening its 13th Colorado location at 7240 W. 56th Ave. in Arvada on Dec. 6. The newest 4,000-square-foot location, within walking distance to Olde Town Arvada and the RTD station, has enough room for 137 diners inside and an additional 46 seats on the patio, where guests can enjoy Snooze’s signature pineapple upside down and blueberry Danish pancakes or a parmesan-panko-encrusted crab cake eggs Benedict.No brunch is complete without a little booze, especially to soften the long wait times. President Joe Biden made his delayed return to Colorado on Tuesday for an evening fundraiser in Cherry Hills Village, and on Wednesday he will travel to Pueblo to tout investments from the Inflation Reduction Act.Biden will visit the CS Wind factory in Pueblo during the early afternoon to promote his signature legislation’s boon to domestic manufacturing. A Denver wine company that sells bottles labeled “Mom Juice” is raising capital to expand its product line.Kristin Taylor and Macie Mincey founded KT Winery in 2020 because they were tired of traditional wine culture. The duo decided they wanted a fun wine brand for women, by women.So they branded their wines Mom Juice, a reference to their “badass” mothers.“That’s the woman we’re surrounded by and that’s the woman we want to be,” Taylor said. “It’s not about moms being drunk. It’s giving women the space to have community and a wine they can trust.”Mom Juice comes in four varieties. The cabernet sauvignon, red blend, sauvignon blanc and rose all retail for roughly $20 a bottle.Taylor said the winery produced 900 cases of wine last year and will do 9,000 this year. Another longtime Denver-area restaurant, this one in Englewood, is closing.The beloved Mexican food spot, El Tepehuan, plans to shutter on Dec. 31 as its owner, Graciela Corral, retires, according to an announcement shared by her son, Miguel Corral.The restaurant, endearingly called El Tep by locals, dates back to 1978 when immigrant Jose David Corral of Sinaloa, Mexico, used his hard-earned money to “achieve his dream to open his own business,” according to the restaurant’s website. Wildlife officials in Los Angeles captured a rare arctic goose Monday that was found nearly 6,000 miles from home.Bird watchers recently reported the Tundra Bean Goose had been hanging around Magic Johnson Park in South Los Angeles.The goose was first spotted in March at Piute Ponds in the High Desert, according to a news release from the Wetlands & Wildlife Care Center.
